When: Dec 12, 2018 - 3:00pm - 5:00pm
Location: DHMC Auditorium B
Christian Darabos and James Adams
Description: In this workshop, we (Research Computing) will introduce participants to R, a free, open-source programming language used to manipulate and visualize data. R helps researchers to clean and present their data; reduce the amount of time they spend performing repetitive, time-consuming analyses; and makes research more transparent and reproducible.
We will be discussing the “tidyverse” series of R packages for working with data, including the popular and versatile “ggplot2” package for creating publication-quality visualizations.
This workshop is designed for those with little to no experience with R.
Participants should bring their own laptops and install the following prior to the workshop:
· R: https://cran.cnr.berkeley.edu/
· RStudio Desktop (Free License): https://www.rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download/
Registrations open at 3:00pm 11/28/2018.
